What is s.a.m health?

s.a.m health is a home test for the four most com­mon sexu­ally trans­mit­ted infec­tions: HIV, Syphi­lis, Gonor­rhea and Chla­my­dia. We offer test kits sent directly to your home, deli­vered at an inter­val you can decide for yours­elf (3, 6 or 12 months), which arrive in neu­trally packa­ged enve­lo­pes. You take the samples yours­elf and send them in the post to the labo­ra­tory, where they will be tes­ted. You will be sent the results via SMS on your mobile phone.

Who is s.a.m health sui­ta­ble for?

s.a.m health makes sense if you have sex with alter­na­ting part­ners and want to test yours­elf regu­larly for sexu­ally trans­mit­ted infec­tions. s.a.m health is sui­ta­ble for all gen­der iden­ti­ties and sexual ori­en­ta­ti­ons. If you don’t often have the oppor­tu­nity to go into the city for a test, s.a.m health could also be a good alter­na­tive for you.

What does s.a.m health cost?

The first s.a.m health test kit inclu­ding regis­tra­tion and ship­ping costs €75. Each fur­ther kit costs €59 inclu­ding shipping. 

As part of the social fund, peo­ple who have an increased risk of sexu­ally trans­mit­ted infec­tions but are unable to pay for the s.a.m health test kit can take advan­tage of our ser­vice for just €10. Please feel free to cont­act us.

How accu­rate is s.a.m health?

The samples are exami­ned by a cer­ti­fied medi­cal labo­ra­tory. As with all HIV tests, an HIV infec­tion can only be relia­bly ruled out 6 weeks after a risk cont­act (8 weeks for syphilis).

All data is pro­ces­sed dis­creetly and in accordance with the GDPR.

What do I need in order to join s.a.m health?

You need a mobile phone with a Ger­man tele­phone num­ber. 
Pay­ment is pos­si­ble via cre­dit card or with Giro­Pay through an online ban­king account. 

How do I join s.a.m health?

A con­sul­ta­tion with a coun­sellor is requi­red in order to join s.a.m health. This con­ver­sa­tion can take place eit­her via tele­phone or face-to-face in Check­point unten­rum (see address below) or at ano­ther s.a.m. coun­sel­ling location.
