Vol­un­t­ary Work

Are you inte­res­ted in a meaningful and respon­si­ble acti­vity in your spare time?

The help of vol­un­teers is a signi­fi­cant fac­tor for the work accom­plished by the Han­nö­ver­sche AIDS-Hilfe. Often our highly-moti­va­ted vol­un­teers become invol­ved within fixed teams with cle­arly defi­ned activities:

  • tar­get-group-spe­ci­fic pre­ven­tion, e.g. of men who have sex with men, both within the gene­ral popu­la­tion and at schools
  • Sup­port of peo­ple living with HIV & AIDS

All our vol­un­t­ary teams meet regu­larly to reflect on past events and to plan upco­ming ones. The groups are being assis­ted by our pedago­gi­cally skil­led employees.

What we offer you:

  • meaningful and respon­si­ble vol­un­t­ary work in moti­va­ted teams
  • regel­mä­ßige päd­ago­gi­sche Anlei­tung und Erfah­rungs­aus­tausch im Team
  • estab­lished, work-rela­ted training
  • if so desi­red, we will also issue a cer­ti­fi­cate of vol­un­t­ary work

What we expect from you:

  • regu­lar, relia­ble par­ti­ci­pa­tion in our team meetings
  • wil­ling­ness to par­take in our acti­vi­ties at late hours and night time, espe­ci­ally at weekends
  • reflec­ted and unpre­ju­di­ced inter­ac­tion with dif­fe­rent life styles, par­ti­cu­larly in regards to sexual diver­sity, drug use and migrants
  • anxiety-free inter­ac­tion with peo­ple living with HIV & AIDS
  • reflec­tion of one’s own and other’s sexuality

Intern­ship

Han­nö­ver­sche AIDS-Hilfe e.V. offers the pos­si­bi­lity to do an intern­ship, e.g.:

  • intern­ship as part of your stu­dies in the fields of pedagogy, social work, psy­cho­logy, or similar
  • Intern­ships for the occu­pa­tio­nal reinte­gra­tion, or others

Length: At least 4 weeks, at a maxi­mum of 3 months

Com­pen­sa­tion for the intern­ship is not pos­si­ble, the­r­e­fore we do not hire “Anerkennungspraktikant*innen”.

Prak­ti­kums­in­halte wären u.a.:

  • Unter­stützung der haupt­amt­li­chen Mitarbeiter*innen bei der Vor­be­rei­tung und Durch­füh­rung von ziel­grup­pen­spe­zi­fi­schen Prä­ven­ti­ons­ak­tio­nen, Öffent­lich­keits­ar­beit sowie Grup­pen- und Frei­zeit­an­ge­bo­ten für Menschen mit HIV & AIDS
  • Hos­pi­ta­tion bei Ein­zel­be­ra­tun­gen sowie bei der Tele­fon- und Test-Beratung

Wir bie­ten:

  • Mit­ar­beit in einem klei­nen, moti­vier­ten Team
  • Qua­li­fi­zier­tes Praktikumszeugnis

Wir erwar­ten:

  • Min­dest­al­ter 18 Jahre
  • Bereit­schaft zur Arbeit auch in den Abend­stun­den und am Wochenende
  • Vor­ur­teils- und angst­freier Umgang mit Menschen mit HIV & AIDS

Mem­ber­ship

Unter­stüt­zen Sie unsere Arbeit als Mit­glied in der Hannöver­schen AIDS-Hilfe e.V.!
Der Mit­glied­bei­trag für eine ordent­li­che Mit­glied­schaft beträgt jähr­lich 60€ (ermä­ßigt 30€).
Als för­dern­des Mit­glied kön­nen Sie ihren monat­li­chen Mit­glieds­bei­trag selbst fest­le­gen.
Alle Mit­glied­schafts­bei­träge sind steu­er­lich absetzbar.
